Interests
Besides being a lifelong English learner, I'm also learning French, Mandarin, and Te reo Māori. I'm quite proud of my long streak on Duolingo, and I'm determined to never miss a day.
I recommend using Du Chinese to learn Chinese characters. The topics are fun, inclusive, and take advantage of the four learning styles of visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinaesthetic. Compared to French and Mandarin, I find Te reo Māori the most challenging, as the structures are a departure from English and Vietnamese. However, I'm working hard on it and making my own humble contribution to preserving Te reo Māori.
When I'm not learning languages, I make Youtube videos, manage the ESOL teachers in NZ Facebook group, make cards and posters, play chess on Lichess, grow succulents, and sketch.
